11th Annual Pub Pedal a success
Muskegon, Mich.— Hundreds of bikers gathered donning T-shirts whose proceeds went to a child with a brain tumor.
This past weekend, on Saturday, June 3, the 11th Annual Pub Pedal took place in the beautiful lakeside town of Muskegon, Michigan. Hundreds of bikers crowded the streets during the event and donned T-shirts that read, “We Bearly Made It Through 2016” at the top with a picture of a bear below it riding a tricycle. At the bottom, the T-shirt read, “. . . But Here We Go Again!” And all of it was for a good cause.
The $15 shirts purchased by individuals before the event went to Fiona, a young girl diagnosed with a brain tumor back in March of 2016. (Each year the proceeds go to a person or a family in need.)
On the back of the T-shirt there is a map of all the participating bars/restaurants involved in the event. The ride itself started at the Canary Inn in North Muskegon and went to Dockers by Muskegon Lake. Although, during the event, it is not uncommon for people to ride different routes, skipping bars and restaurants. (Some even drive.)
Bars and restaurants people stopped at included Hennessey’s Irish Pub, The Boar’s Belly, Unruly Brewing Co., Pigeon Hill Brewing Company, Mike’s Inn, Tipsy Toad Tavern, Rec Club, Vets Club, Lakeshore Tavern, Marine Tap, The Deck, and Dockers Fish House and Lounge.
The course from North Muskegon to Muskegon (or vice versa) there and back stretched close to 20 miles.
