How to cook the perfect steak, as told by Gordon Ramsay

Gordon Ramsay has just revealed his secret technique of making perfect, juicy steak. What separates this recipe from the rest is that Ramsay flambés the cut, according to the Independent.

The top chef, who is a judge on the US version of the competitive cooking shoe MasterChef explained how to cook a steak in a video he shared on his Facebook page. In it he advises to add a splash of oil to the pan after seasoning the steak on both sides. After this, he places the steak in the pan, adding rosemary and thyme, and then removes it and allows it to rest in a separate dish. The chef then adds butter, chopped mushrooms and garlic to the pan. Ramsay then uses cognac to create a flame, places the steak back into the pan and adds a few spoons of stock and cream. He coats the steak with the sauce as it boils. When serving, he topped it with fresh parsley.
