This 103-year-old woman says beer is the secret to living a long life
A 103-year-old woman has revealed that her key to a long life is beer.
Mildred Bowers lived through the Great Depression and outlived two husbands, according to WCSC. Among the nine girls in her family, she is the only one with no kids.
She attributes her age to her genes and beer. One beer every day, to be precise. Bowers, who lives in an assisted facility, has a doctor’s approval to drinking one beer per day every day. She claims she’s in good health and has a good mind, according to the Independent.
When speaking to the WCSC, she recommended her “diet” to all seniors. “Look, there are people who don’t like coffee and people who don’t like tea, but I want everyone to drink what they like,” she said. A friend of her supports her decision to drink beer everyday. “Look, there are people who don’t like coffee and people who don’t like tea, but I want everyone to drink what they like,” the friend said.
