The Orion constellation is a prominent coordinate address located in the so-called heavens, it’s one of the most conspicuous and recognisable constellations in the night sky which coincidentally, also happens to be on a celestial equator, thus very visible throughout the world.
In various cultures [From Africa to South America ETC] Orion is referenced greatly throughout human history.
The Yoruba’s of Nigeria claim their progenitor was Oduduwa [ alleged powerful prince and son of King Lamurudu ] whose first port of call according to their oral and written history was Ile-Ife, a small settlement close to Lagos, Nigeria.

They insist he arrived carrying an Obelisk known as Opa Oroyan, meaning the staff of Oroyan ‘’ORION?’’ , loosely translated to ‘’my will prevails”. Some historians claim this was merely his princely staff of office/authority.
Others insist it’s much more since on close inspection of the obelisk a star map depicting 3 locations in the Orion belt is clearly emphasised, the locations which happen to be star point’s Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka. On the obelisk is a symbol resembling the fork of Greco-Roman Poseidon [ One of the Twelve Olympians in ancient Greek religion and myth, God of the Sea and other waters; of earthquakes; and of horses, known as Neptune in Rome ]
In European Mythology, Zeus placed Orion among the stars because he was a giant and a great huntsman.
The South American indigenous name of Orion is Krisa ch’ata, Inca people claim there are three stars in Orion’s belt, sometimes called three sisters / three Mary’s, it is of note that mysterious artefacts alleged to have been recently found in Ecuador and other Latin American regions depict Pyramids and the Orion constellation.These are publicly available and visible online with a simple search engine inquiry
Putting into consideration that Egyptologists and so many in the new age / new archaeological research schools of thought insist that the pyramids in Egypt, the Giza Pyramids are a Stellar representation of Orion’s Belt, one is forced to ask, Why the elaborate references in every Ancient culture ? What is the actual significance of Orion’s belt ?
