Born on September 11, 1970, Taraji P. Henson has established herself as an actress on the rise. Her first acting role was in the television series The Parent ‘Hood in the role of Aida. She also appeared on an episode of the popular sitcom Sister Sister, which starred the twins Tia and Tamera Mowry. Even with these initially small guest appearances, Taraji P. Henson’s career took new heights over the next two decades.

In 2008, she received critical acclaim for playing the motherly figure in the wildly successful film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, a major Oscar winner that also allowed Henson to receive a nomination for her supporting role as Queenie. Eight years later, she had the leading role in another major Oscar contender, Hidden Figures, in which she portrayed the real-life figure, Katherine G. Johnson. She is also currently the star of the popular television show Empire. Henson is currently hard at work on a variety of projects ranging from Proud Mary to the Wreck-It Ralph sequel. Taraji P. Henson really is leaving her mark in the entertainment world.
