Born on September 9, 1980, Michelle Williams has established herself as both a leading lady and a great supporting actress. To date, she has received four Academy Award nominations, one Golden Globe win, and three additional nominations for the same roles as her Oscar nominations. Her films include Blue Valentine (2010), My Week with Marilyn (2011), and the Best Picture nominee Manchester by the Sea (2016). Williams actually won the Golden Globe for her comedic performance as Marilyn Monroe. Even though she won in the “Musical or Comedy” category, she still offered insight into the Hollywood icon by showcasing another side to that famous idol.
Williams is currently working hard on a variety of film projects. She is set to play Janis Joplin in the bio pic Janis. She is also set to appear in the role of Charity Barnum in the upcoming musical film The Greatest Showman, and Hugh Jackman will star as P.T. Barnum. She is currently filming a motion picture called I Feel Pretty, and it is clear that Williams is a star on the rise.
