Christopher “Big Black” Boykin dies an untimely death

Christopher “Big Black” Boykin who was the other star of the hit MTV show “Rob and Big” has passed away on May 9, 2017. No official cause of death has been released yet, but multiple people in Boykin’s circle believe the cause of death was a heart attack.

He was Rob’s best buddy on their reality show, “Rob and Big” which aired from 2006-2008. He was a skateboarder and an entrepreneur. Boykin also appeared on “Fantasy Factory.” The pals got into many haphazard adventures such as breaking Guinness World Records, exorcising their house and even stripping for charity.

Many are saddened to hear the news of Boykin’s passing. MTV said in a statement, “He was a long time and beloved member of the MTV family and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this time.”

Before he was a TV star, Boykin served in the U.S Navy. He also had a clothing line. Boykin last tweeted a day before his death on Monday.

Chanel West Coast who appeared with Boykin on both “Fantasy Factory” and “Ridiculousness” tweeted after the news broke out. She tweeted, “RIP Big Black. My heart is crushed. I’ll remember all the times you made me laugh and my prayers go out to your family.”

Boykin is survived by his 9-year-old daughter. He was 45-years-old.
