This Nigerian oil billionaire’s son had the most incredible wedding. See here the incredible photos
We have all gotten used to the opulent and outstanding weddings that celebrities have, but the wedding of Folorunso Alakija’s son, a Nigerian oil billionaire, surpasses every imagination. The fairytale-styled event took place at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, and the pictures are nothing short of amazing.
Folorunso Alakija, vice chair of Famfa Oil, a Nigerian oil company, is one of the richest black women in the world, with an estimated fortune of £2.1 billion ($1.68 billion). It is thus obvious that she spared no expense for the wedding of her son, Folarin Alakija, to Iranian model Nazanin Jafarian Ghaissarifar.
According to Daily Mail, the wedding cost around £5 million and featured a million white roses, a live performance from pop star Robin Thicke and an astonishing 12-foot cake.
Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire is where Sir Winston Churchill was born and also where the Duke of Marlborough primarily resides.
The menu of the event had five courses and included expensive dishes, such as foie gras or guinea fowl, while the list of guests included supermodel Shanina Shaik and blogger Temi Otedola, the one behind JTO Fashion.
Alakija and Ghaissarifar met through mutual friends. He is an entrepreneur, investor and cinematographer, while his better half has a graduate Diploma in Law and has also studied Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Manchester, besides working as a model and marketing consultant.
