Selena Gomez is officially 25! Born on July 22, 1992, she was named after a famous singer named “Selena.” Her first acting credit was for a very small role in Spy Kids 3: Game Over. She would then go on to play “Gianna” on the popular TV series Barney & Friends. In spite of a modest start in the entertainment industry, her career would soon take off later on that same decade.
Gomez became incredibly famous incredibly fast after having acting roles with the Disney Channel. Specifically, she would play “Gwen” in an episode of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. She then had the role of a lifetime as the magical Alex Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place.
