Born on August 22, 1973, Kristen Wiig is a rising star in her own right. Her first role was as a “Party Parent” in a short film called “Carnata.” Since then, she has over eighty film credits, and is getting close to having one hundred roles on her impressive filmography. One of her biggest hits was Bridesmaids, which was a box-office sensation in the summer of 2011, and she received a “Best Original Screenplay” Academy Award nomination alongside Annie Mumolo. Unfortunately, the winning screenplay was Woody Allen’s brilliant romantic comedy Midnight in Paris, and Wiig lost the Golden Globe to Michelle Williams for her outstanding work in My Week with Marilyn. Nevertheless, Kristen Wiig is still a very diligent actress, and is currently working on a variety of different projects. She is set to play Audrey in the upcoming film adaptation of the novel Where’d You Go, Bernadette, and she will also lend her vocal talents to How to Train Your Dragon 3 in the role of Ruffnut Thorston. A fun fact about Kristen Wiig is that her friends like to call her “The Brown Cow,” and this nickname came about from Wiig’s admiration of chocolate.
