She was once the bridesmaid at the most watched wedding in the world; Now it’s her turn to walk down the isle

When Catherine Middleton wed Prince William in a lavish and pomp wedding on April 29th, 2011, all eyes were watching. Whether it was in the UK, or in Australia or even in the United States, more than a billion people were set watching a fairy tale romance come to life. It was the dress, the kiss, even the guests, that caught everyone’s eyes, but there was someone that had the world asking, ‘who is she?’

In came Pippa Middleton, just another commoner who too was destined for great things like her sister, Catherine. Dressed in an Alexander McQueen white gown, she stole viewer’s hearts all over the world. She had all eyes on her and having everyone wanting to know more about her. So, who was she? She was Pippa Middleton, sister of the future queen of England, and six years after her sister’s big moment, it’s her turn.

Pippa Middleton is to wed hedge fund manager, James Matthews in just two weeks. They will be married on the 20th of May in Englified, Berkshire at Saint Mark’s church. Although the wedding is not considered to be a ‘royal’ one as her sisters were, it will be one with popularity as members of the royal family are to attend, such as her brother in law, Prince William, and her niece and nephew, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte. With those two in tow, the world will want to catch a glimpse of the nuptials.

Rather than hundreds attending the ceremony, this wedding will only have up to 150 guests, making it a more intimate affair between the newlyweds. Prince George and Princess Charlotte are expected to have two very important roles in the wedding, with Prince George being a page boy and Princess Charlotte being a young bridesmaid. Kate is expected to be the matron of honour although that has yet to be confirmed. What she will be wearing is also a question looming as her sense of fashion has quickly dominated the tabloids.

The reception will be held at Middleton’s parent’s home in Bucklebury with several other familiar faces invited. Middleton’s brother James will be at the wedding with a girlfriend, Donna Air as well as Matthew’s brother, British socialite and reality TV star, Spencer Matthews. Roger Federer is among the guests expected at the wedding as Middleton is an avid tennis fan and has been a guest at Federer’s matches. Lastly, all eyes are expected on the new “royal couple” as Prince Harry has scored an invited to the wedding, with girlfriend Megan Markle.

Although the wedding will be small and a more private affair, it will surely grab some headlines and make some news.
