Broadway debut date for Harry Potter play has been set
„Harry Potter” fans no longer have to travel to London to see „Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”, as the play is coming to Broadway.
The debut of the two-part play will take place at New York’s Lyric Theatre on April 22, 2018, as the show’s producers announced.

The play is based on the characters created by J.K. Rowling. It takes place 19 years after the events of the book „Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, with the kids of Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy, who are new students at the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry and become friends.
Jack Thorne wrote the play based on a story he created with Rowling and John Tiffany, according to CBS.
The play recently won nine Olivier Awards. It is split in two parts and the audience has the option to choose whether they’ll see them on the same day or on consecutive days.
Casting announcements are yet to come. Tickets will go on sale this fall.
