Suicide Squad didn’t hit well with everybody by this parody is top-rated.
Suicide Squad is the third installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Following Man of Steel, which received mixed reception, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which had mostly negative reviews. Since it was the first film not directed by Zack Snyder, many hoped that director David Ayer would bring some much needed energy into the DCEU. Since the primary complaints of both Man of Steel and BvS was the dark tone, the Suicide Squad trailers showed a lighter tone, not unlike rival Marvel Studios’ own Guardians of the Galaxy. When the actual film came out, its ratings were much lower than the previous films and many fans saw it as a sign of the end for the DCEU.
