The Netflix Original Series Sense 8 has just been canceled and fans are fuming over social media.
The hashtag #RenewSense8 has been popping up all over social media. Fans are not happy after Netflix announced the show was canceled after just two seasons. Netflix has not commented about the reasoning behind this hasty decision.
Sense 8 was one of the most diverse shows to come to Netflix. It featured very diverse characters, some of which were part of the LGBTQ+ community. Jamie Clayton, a transgender actress was a leading role in the show. Sense 8 didn’t focus on the stereotypical LGBTQ+ characters, but instead gave Netflix three dimensional individuals. In this day and age, it is extremely important to show diverse lives commingling and becoming one. Lilly and Lana Wachowski did an amazing job directing Sense 8.

Viewers have taken the liberty to renew the Emmy nominated series by making petitions and tweeting their love for the show. So far about 450,000 have signed the petition at Change.org. It looks like the fight to renew Sense 8 is far from over.
