To back that statement up, his latest two appearances on singles Despacito (remix) and I’m the One from artists Fonsi and Yankee and DJ Khaled, respectively, are currently sitting on the first and third positions on the Billboard Hot 100 table.

For Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, the single became their first chart-topping single while the song became only the second in the history of the Billboard Hot 100, after Macarena in 1995, for a Spanish song to top the charts.
What was more impressive about this feat was that the Despacito remix marks the first time Bieber sang in Spanish.
The Despacito remix was an early song of the same name also from Fonsi and Yankee which had already been making waves especially in Latin America and had even topped the US Latin Digital Songs.
On YouTube, the accompanying music video for Despacito became the online video service’s 24<sup>th</sup> most watched and as of this Monday has amassed 1,78 billion views.
Additionally, the audio of the remix of the song on Fonsi’s YouTube on that same day had 268,41 million views on the same day.
The single I’m the One also became the first number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 for record producer and rapper DJ Khaled since his first single in 2006.
However, the song did have American rappers Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne as well.

But Bieber’s magic is not just for these two songs alone.
In 2016, electronic music trio Major Lazer scored their highest chart-topping hit in Cold Water which featured Bieber and Let Me Love You from DJ Snake was his third top five single on the BillBoard Hot 100 chart.
Though Bieber has been appearing in media for all the wrong reasons since mid-2015 and 2016, the chart-topping performances of these singles should prove that Bieber has still got the magic which he had back when he exploded on the scene in 2010.
