Coronation Street actor has died at age 81
Roy Barraclough, best known for his role in popular show Coronation Street, has died at age of 81. A spokesman for the Lancashire-born actor said he died following a short illness.
Barraclough was beloved for playing Rovers Return landlord Alec Gilroy on the ITV soap opera.
Barraclough was seen on screens most recently last year, in a revival of classic sitcom Are You Being Served?.
