The Linkin Park lead singer has died at his home in Los Angeles, aged 41
It has been reported that the lead singer of Nu Metal Band, Linkin Park has died in his home in Los Angeles aged 41. Reports say that he took his own life.
He was apparently found at his residence in Palos Verdes Estates, Los Angeles. The Los Angeles coroner’s office confirmed a report originally made by TMZ that the singer had taken his own life.
Chester Bennington had long struggled with addiction to alcohol and drugs. Bennington had six children from two marriages.
Chester Bennington and Linkin park had embarked on their One More Light world tour with the next date being at the Xfinity Centre in Mansfield, Massachusetts on the 27th July 2017.
Linkin Park are famous for songs like “in the end”, “numb”, “what i’ve done” and multiple albums like Hybrid Theory. The band were also a huge influence to many growing up in the late 00’s.
Bennington’s death allegedly comes on the same day that would have been his good friend’s, Chris Cornell’s, Birthday who took his own life back in May 2017.
