Opinion: Winter is Sunday

Game of Thrones Season 7 debuts this Sunday. Here’s why we’re most excited for this installment.

The lead alone should tell you, but there are going to be spoilers. So if you’re still binging to get caught up, I suggest you continue.

There’s only two seasons left until we learn the end, and we couldn’t be more excited. There are many unanswered questions, starting with…

What is Varys’ real interests? There’s rumors of him being a merman but with only one reference to the creatures on the show, it seems doubtful that the showrunners will toss a wildcard like that. But apparently some think that Varys is not who he seems, considering that deception is an underlying theme of the story. Some think maybe he isn’t a eunuch after all because he’s of a different species entirely, giving a reasonable insight to why he’s able to manipulate at will. My theory? He only wants chaos.

Who will marry Cersei? Will it be Littlefinger, or possible Euron Greyjoy. It certainly can’t be Jaime, which leads us to believe that the ill struck love story might crumble in this near future. But to me, this seems like Petyr Baelish’s direct route to the throne. He’s the real Xaro, who truly started with nothing. Then took Harrenhal. Then took the seat of the Vale. Then took the Vale. Now he’s reeling from a brutal shutdown by Sansa, and a queen with no king means only opportunity.

Will Nymeria return?

I think so. Aside that someone on the team already dropped that there will be a massive battle scene featuring wolves, it can only mean one thing. For bookreaders, we always are given a wolf howl or something heard in the distance which leads us to believe that Nymeria is one of Arya’s protectors.

Will Syrio return?

We think so.

Dany will lose a dragon.

The poster gave it away, but it seems likely that one of the dragons will die and will be revived by the Night King. Watch out for the Zombie Dragon..

The battle.

They keep trying to one up the last season, and that’s fine with us, because when this is all said and done what we’ll be left with is a textbook class on how to film a proper fight sequence. If only they can get Gareth Evans on board.
