Christian Louboutin launches new ”nudes for all” range of stilettos
Christian Louboutin, the legendary French shoe designer, recently launched two new ranges of nude shoes in a spectrum of seven colours, so as to illustrate the ”nudes for all” concept.
The two new ranges from the famous designer range from a light ”Lea Nue” to a dark ”Toudou” and is based on a range launched four years ago, when a member of Louboutin’s team told him “beige is not the colour of my skin”.
“By elongating the legs and complimenting a woman’s silhouette, a nude pump conveys the fluidity, versatility, and allure of the female body, an ongoing inspiration for Louboutin,” a blog post from last year explains.
The two new additions come in a range of sizes from 34 to 43. Christevera, with a price of £595, has a 100mm stiletto heel and espadrille laces, while the Cherrysandal, priced at £635, comes with a 140mm heel and elements of PVC.
A lot of social media users welcomed the new additions. Nevertheless, some users did wonder why the company needed so much time to include shoes with such skin tones in their collection.
