The Faustian DUP deal that exposes the true nature of English politics.

The DUP deal that exposes the age old colonialism of English politics that could jeopardise peace in Northern Ireland and potentially Scotland.

For at least three hundred years Scottish people have been fed the fabricated lie that we’re in a Union of equals. The DUP ironically entitle their organisation of henchmen as a democratic organisation. When in reality the Orange Lodge and Loyalists have destroyed lives and ruined communities – of course that was their job. Now it looks set to be their job for the foreseeable future – no thanks to the English establishment.

If you grew up in Northern Ireland and Scotland and you were local to that area, then you’d be viewed as the enemy. The ‘no surrender’ slogan would be held with pride and the ‘Billy Boys’ would make their presence felt. Now the next generation of Billy Boys are in positions of authority within our institutions and they weild their power gratuitously against the locals. Such behaviour has now been validated by the English establishment and the politicisation of bullying has now reached crisis point in Scotland.

Alex Salmond, who recently lost his Gordon constituency seat, has aired his views about the Faustian pact – ‘bought and sold for Tory gold’ were his words. In a short speech to camera Salmond stated that this alliance may see the loyalist faction in the UK holding the balance of power for at least two years. This prediction fills the Scottish electorate with dread as we know what it means. It means being treated like second class citizens in our own country, by a bunch of knuckle dragging henchmen, who have no place in Scottish politics, let alone having the audacity to live here.

The published manifesto pledges made by the DUP have been to shore up the reserve regiments in Northern Ireland – potentially threating a decades long peace process. As far as Scotland goes its people are likely to feel more and more like foreigners in their own country yet again.

Although Salmond has predicted the demise of Theresa May in the autumn she will likely be replaced by Boris Johnson – who has vocalised his distaste for the Scottish people; or Anna Soubry who is making her pro EU presence felt.

Although some are lauding the arrrival of Jeremy Corbyn’s new, even better Labour Party with knobs on – are they such a good alternative? With the likes of Emily Thornberry as Shadow Foreigh Secretary, do the Scottish electorate feel reassured? The simple answer is no we don’t. Thornberry’s close associations with the Blair’s and her corporate style, leaves us with a bad taste in our mouths. It’s like witnessing two potential groups of colonialist baying for which way is the best to suppress the Scottish Electorate. Only time will tell if Scotland can stand tall and rise above a further governance of desolation.
