Ferrari’s 812 superfast model comes with a naturally aspirated V12 engine and packs a punch with 789bhp. This superfast car supersedes the impressive F12 which is a feat of design and engineering in itself.
Ferrari has created an impressive superfast replacement to the F12. With a 6.2 litre V12 engine, it can produce nearly 800bhp (789 bhp). It also has a 78mm stroke and compression ratio and deep breath of 13.64:1. As a result of this new deep breath system the peak power is 8500rpm, 529lb ft at 7000 rpm and revs to 8900 rpm before the limiter kicks in.
Compared to the F12, the torque is stronger in the 812SF and doesn’t fall away like the F12, giving a gutsier feel to the driving experience because of its more efficiently harnessed impulsion. As the engine exceeds the 3000rpm barrier the car comes into its own and provides an earful of satisfying growls.

The new engine system provides an impressive acceleration rate. Ferrari advises that it can achieve 0-60mph in an eye watering 2.9 secs (with launch control) and 0-124mph in 7.9 secs. It has a blistering top speed of 211mph.
To add to the impressive V12 engine Ferrari have installed a seven – speed dual clutch gear box, improving upshift times by 30 percent and enhancing downshift times by 40 percent.
There is also a whole host of electronic gizmos to improve the efficiency of the power conversion ratio. The 812SF also looks aerodynamically impressive and that’s because its added aesthetics also improve its performance.
Some more classically minded car enthusiasts might not appreciate the 812SFs new aerodynamic look. Compared to the F12 it may look slightly over egged, but it’s certainly still a beautiful car that has been sumptuously created. With the endlessly impressive profile the 812SF has a price tag of £253,004, but it’s worth every penny.
