Tom Hanks is officially 61! Born in Concord, California, Hanks was the son of a hospital worker and a cook. Since then, he was won two Academy Awards as well as produced and starred in some of the most iconic films that were made over the past 30 years.
Hanks has the unique distinction of winning two “Best Actor” Academy Awards in a row. The first one was for Philadelphia, a film that dealt with AIDS and LGBT themes.
