Marvel boss sets out 5-movie plan for Spider-Man
Spider-Man: Homecoming might have just reached cinemas, but Marvel fans are already looking forward to the sequels.
When speaking to the Toronto Sun, Marvel’s president Kevin Feige revealed they currently have a five-movie story arc for Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker.
“We are looking at a five-movie storyline — Civil War, Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Untitled Avengers, Homecoming 2 — or whatever we end up calling it — as an amazing five-story journey for Peter Parker,” Feige said. “In the way that the events of Civil War directly inform the opening of Homecoming and his state of mind as he goes back to high school, so too will the events of the next two Avengers movies as he continues with high school.”
The original 22-movie arc ends with the Untitled Avengers in May, 2019. Two months later, the aftermath of the events in Untitled Avengers will be revealed in Homecoming 2, according to Feige. The future of Spider-Man with Marvel remains a bit mysterious, considering Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal have been unclear about the rights, as the Independent reports.
