The player made two appearances in the Premier League for the Hammers. His debut when replacing Mohamed Diame with two minutes of the game remaining, on Aug 31st, 2013 at Upton Park, against Stoke City, a game Stoke won by the single goal of the game. His only other Premier League appearance was to come in May of 2014, when at Newcastle United’s St James Park, when he again went on as a substitute, taking the place of Cheikhou Kouyaté,in the 77th minute of the game, this time on the winning side, the Hammers winning by two goals to Nil.

During his four year spell at Upton Park, West Ham sent Elliot out for loan on five separate occasions, twice with Colchester United. also to Southend United, Luton Town and Blackpool, before he moved to Barnsley in July 2016, where he manage just six appearances. In total Elliot has made forty two games in all four tiers of the Football League, with six league goals to his credit. The word is, that he has developed further since his loan spell at Kenilworth Road and looking forward to fighting for a regular first team place with the Hatters.

What must be most encouraging for Luton town supporters are the comments made by the incoming players regarding the facilities at their training ground, the Brache, being more to the standards, at the very least of one of the top Championship clubs, rather than a club of the fourth tier, suggesting that the club are making good their ambitious claims.
