Google Glass gets first update in two and a half years
Google Glass, the face computer that made headlines years back when it was released was mostly forgotten. But the company made it relevant again releasing the first update in two and a half years.
According to Techcruch, the last time Google offered an update for the Glass was back in September 2014.
The new update fixes some bugs and supports Bluetooth, meaning that the face computer can now be paired with mice, keyboards, and other Bluetooth-enabled objects.

And the update is not the only novelty regarding Google Glass. The company also rolled out the firmware update.
Google Glass was first released in February 2013 and from the get-go it sparked concerns over safety and privacy issues. It was Google’s attempt at producing ubiquitous computers but it became a cautionary tale among developers of wearable technology.
The optical head-mounted display was designed in the shape of a pair of eyeglasses. Google Glass displays information in a smartphone-like hands-free format and wearers are able to communicate with the Internet via natural language voice commands. The first prototypes rolled out in 2013 were sold for $1,500 and the glasses became publicly available at the beginning of the next year.
On January 15, 2015, Google announced that it would stop producing the Google Glass prototype.
