Armani launches smartwatch with Android Wear
Luxury brand Armani will launch a smartwatch with Android Wear 2.0, called Emporio Armani Connected, and the product will hit the shelves in September.
The smartwatch is manufactured by watch company Fossil, which also produces watches for other brands, such as Michael Kors, Skagen, Diesel, DKNY and Marc Jacobs.
Emporio Armani Connected will feature eight strap options. At the moment there are no details regarding the hardware specifications, but it seems similar to most other smartwatches, having a round AMOLED screen and Qualcomm processor.
The price is yet to be announced as well, but since it is a famous brand like Emporio Armani, it is expected to be quite high.
The Armani smartwatch was announced at Milan Fashion Week. Since it comes with Android Wear 2.0, it is only logical to assume that it will have Google Assistant incorporated, will be able to receive notifications and even allow writing and sending messages.
