Singer Mary J. Blige has been ordered to pay $30,000 a month to her ex-husband
Mary J. Blige has to pay her ex-husband $30,000/month for temporary spousal support, according to various reports.
In July 2016, the singer, aged 46, filed for divorce, after 12 years of marriage with Martin “Kendu” Isaacs. Although she argued that their prenuptial agreement waived any spousal support, she has been ordered to pay Isaacs $30,000/month dating back to September, according to E! Online.
Initially, Isaacs requested over $129,000 per month, TMZ reports.

Mary J. Blige claimed in court that Isaacs spent more than $420,000 during their marriage on “travel charges” that involved his girlfriend, not her, according to documents obtained by People Magazine. She also claimed that her ex-husband drives a Mercedes that she pre-paid the lease on and that he refuses to turn over possession of her “Grammy and other achievement awards.” Moreover, the singer said she had long been the only financial support of the family and that she is burdened with more than $10,000,000 in debt.
