After the horror of last weeks terror attack in Manchester, which saw 22 die at an Ariana Grande concert, Katy Hopkins called for a ‘final solution’ – echoing Hitler’s words prior to the Holocaust. This was even a step too far for Hopkins which saw her being sacked by the LBC social media news desk.
Hopkins rose to infamy when she was snapped having sex in a cornfield with a married man, whilst appearing on the TV show, The Apprentice. She later appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and was accused of homophobia by her housemate Perez Hilton.
For the majority of her ‘career’ she had called out fat people for being lazy, she has made anti-Scottish comments during the time of the independence referendum and has vowed to leave the UK if Jeremy Corbyn wins the General Election. Her gob has seen her attack masses of the population and her snobbery seem boundless. She also claimed on the TV show This Morning that she wouldn’t allow her children to associate with anyone called Chardonnay.

For most, Hopkin’s antics were not taken seriously, but now she’s crossed the line. Her controversial persona has become unpalatable for audiences and her unseemly comments have taken their toll.
is it time that Hopkins to bow out? Not likely! Her tenacity and zeal for infamy will reinforce her person, but could we see her jump ship and cross the pond to the States? Whatever happens, this won’t be the last we hear from the self-ascribed ‘rent a gob’
