OSVehicle, a start-up in Sillicon Valley, unveiled the world’s first modular self-driving electric car called EDIT.
EDIT is the first modular self-driving electric car and it is also open-source. Its uniqueness resides in the fact that it is completely customizable, with companies being able to tweak the self-driving hardware, add a refrigerator or change its styling depending on their needs.
The whole customizing process takes half the time and a lower investment than a regular service oriented vehicle.

EDIT’s design also allows companies to deliver in record times models that are customized for each service and country, for example food delivery or car sharing. The ultimate goal of the start-up is to ease the work of entrepreneurs into creating new projects in the automotive industry.
This innovative vehicle is perfect for car-sharing, as it is upgradeable, besides being modular and customizable, thus avoiding the obsolescence experienced by today’s vehicles.
