Hate crime probe following Caitlyn Jenner being abused when leaving LGBT Awards in London
Police have launched a hate crime probe after claims that Caitlyn Jenner was subjected to transphobic slurs when she left the British LGBT Awards in London.
The reality TV star had received a Loud and Proud award at the event in Covent Garden on Friday night. As she left the Grand Connaught Rooms in Great Queen Street where the event took place, she was met with a wave of insults.
A source told the Sun: “Someone shouted to her, ‘Oi, Bruce, get your d**k’ out.

“Then someone else threw something at her. It was horrible.”
Supposedly, the abuse continued until she got in the car. A spokeswoman for the Met Police said that officers were called to the event on Friday evening.
She told the Evening Standard: “Police were called on Friday, 12 May at 11.40om to an awards event in Great Queen Street following an allegation of a hate crime.
“Officers attended and spoke to one of the organisers who alleged that a photographer had verbally abused a woman and a man as they were leaving the event.”
Scotland Yard said that no arrests had been made and that enquiries were continuing.
