A seven-year-old boy in California managed to raise over $10,000 after setting up his own ”business”. More specifically, Ryan Hickman is recycling plastic bottles and aluminium cans used for selling drinks.

The boy had the idea after visiting a recycling centre in Orange County with his father, when he was only 3. Immediately after, the child began collecting plastic bottles and aluminium cans from neighbors.
Since then, Ryan managed to recycle over 22,000 kilograms of such recipients. His business allowed him to raise over $10,000, money he’s planning to use for his university studies.
The child also donated for charity and was named ambassador of Pacific Marine Mammal Center for his work.
“He’s very passionate about it, and he likes to get everybody else passionate about it as well. I think he’s rubbed off on all of us now. You find yourself walking past a can on the ground and needing to pick it up instead of walking away and leaving it there.” Ryan’s mother said.
