Trump reacts to Facebook announcement on Twitter, says ‘Russia hoax continues’
U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said the ‘Russia hoax continues’ after Facebook launched an overhaul of how it handles paid political advertisements.
Facebook recently said an internal review had shown that an operation likely based in Russia spent $100,000 on 3,000 Facebook ads promoting divisive messages in the months before and after last year’s U.S. presidential election.
“The Russia hoax continues, now it’s ads on Facebook. What about the totally biased and dishonest Media coverage in favor of Crooked Hillary?” Trump tweeted.

Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg on Thursday said anyone will be able to see any political ads that run on Facebook, no matter whom they target.
