Most Britons accept climate change is real, according to new poll

A new poll has revealed that 87% of people in Britain accept the science of climate change, according to the Independent.

The survey was performed on 1,200 adults in the UK by Censuswide. It found that men (17%) were more likely than women (11%) to deny the evidence of global warming, such as melting sea ice and glaciers, rising sea levels and animals heading to the poles.

A significant majority of 70% said they agreed the temperature is rising and greenhouse gas emissions are to blame, as most scientific organisations agree. People over 55 were more likely to argue the evidence than those who were younger.
