Top hardest UK universities to get into
If you’re going to spend three years of your life and who knows how much money at university, you might as well pick one of the very best.
Here’s how university applications work, as reported by Metro: your UCAS points add up to give you a score. The main element of your score is your grades. An A* at A Level is worth 140 points, an A is 120 points, a B is 100, all the way down to D, which is 30. The number of points required to get in varies according to each university.
For those hoping to get into Oxford or Cambridge, the number of points is around 600 UCAS points, equivalent of three A*s. Furthermore, activities which demonstrate extracurricular activities are a must.
