New bike design to clean the air while you ride
Daan Roosegaarde introduced a bike design that is supposed to clean the air while you ride, according to Tree Hugger.
The bicycle inhales polluted air, cleans it and releases clean air around the cyclist. It will work in similar ways to a previous creation of Roosegaarde, the Smog Free Tower, providing a healthy, energy friendly solution to issues such as traffic congestion and pollution.
“Beijing used to be an iconic bicycle city. We want to bring back the bicycle as a cultural icon of China and as the next step towards smog-free cities,” Roosegarde explained.
