It used to be a Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal basilica, however now it is museum and a very famous tourist attraction. This city is an old one, and regardless of it’s age, many remains of Istanbul’s incredible past are still intact. Other famous landmarks include the Spize Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar, and the Blue Mosque. Not far there is an incredible site to see.

Istanbul is blended with foods from the East and West making it a food lovers dream to be able to try different types of foods from different cultures. If you’re going for more of a modern taste then go to the West as the ever growing modern kitchen offers different delicacies, while the East gives one authentic Ottoman food, and of course there’s Turkish food which varies from meat and fish dishes. To top it all off, one can indulge in the world famous Turkish desserts, which vary from world famous baklava, Turkish delight, and Halva.

Just about any world famous city has their unique nightlife, but what makes Istanbul’s so different? The nightlife is as vibrant as the city, once again thanking the location of the city. Top nightlife venues are located on the Bosphorus or on a magnificent rooftop offering stunning views of this majestic city. There’s also cafe terraces which also offer drinks and a cool nightlife for those who prefer a “low key” night. While you’re at it, try Raki, a typical drink in Turkey or one of the fresh Turkish wines.
