Before you head to your local beach make sure you have everything you need.
It’s July and summer is in full effect. With that being said, many people and their families will be heading to the beach. Unfortunately a lot of people are confused about what they should bring with them to the beach. Or they bring unnecessary items. In all reality, you don’t have to bring that much at all. Here is a list of some essential items to bring with you to the beach this summer.
Sunscreen-One of the most obvious things you want to bring with you to the beach is sunscreen. Not only is sunburn not a good look, it is also very painful. If you currently don’t own any sunscreen it is highly recommended that you go purchase some. You can go to popular retailers such as Walgreens, Wal-Mart or Target. They currently have tons of sunscreen.

Beach towel-Another important item to have when you visit the beach is a beach towel. The bigger the better, when you go to the beach you want to have a place to layout and relax/tan. You don’t want to lie out on the hot sand. If you plan on hitting the beach this summer do yourself a favor and invest in a big brightly colored beach towel.
Sunglasses-If you are visiting the beach this summer, you definitely want to bring your sunglasses. Not only do sunglasses protect your eyes from harmful sun rays, they are a great fashion staple. With many different colors, shapes and sizes everyone can find a pair of chic sunglasses.
Water bottle-You definitely don’t want to go to the beach without bringing a water bottle. As hot as it is outside, it is very important to stay hydrated.
Cover up-One item that is a staple when you are visiting the beach or pool is a cover up. After you emerge from the water you might feel a little chilly. This is where a cute cover up comes in. Much like sunglasses, cover ups come in many different styles and colors so finding one should be a no-brainer.
Hand sanitizer-When you visit the beach chances are you will be left with tons of bacteria on your hands. You don’t want to be spreading germs because no one has time to be sick. Bath and Body Works sells great smelling hand sanitizers. You can get one for $1.75 and it should last you the whole summer if not longer than that.
Body mist-Let’s be honest here, after a day at the beach you will be sweaty and salty and there is no need to be smelling like strong B.O. Head over to Victoria’s Secret and grab yourself a travel sized body mist to freshen up.
