Giant zipline installed on Eiffel Tower for French Open – VIDEO

For any adrenaline junkies keen to replicate the 90 km per hour speeds of a crunched tennis ball at the French Open, a zipline has been set up on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower that sends users whizzing to the ground.

Those who take the 115 metre plunge will land on a platform in the Champs de Mars park at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, where spectators will be able to follow tennis matches on a big screen throughout the week.

Brave users, who wore yellow crash helmets that looked liked tennis balls, recommended the thrill ride that was set up to mimic the speeds of balls hit at the grand slam tournament, which concludes in Paris on Sunday.

“Well just I was saying you have the feeling you are going to die,” Julien Bidet, 39, said. “You relive when you arrive here, it’s just amazing. It’s great, it’s amazing.”
