A recent study found that yoga could relieve back pain, especially in the case of people doing no exercise at all.
If you have yet to believe the gurus, trust the scientists. A team of researchers from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in the US, the University Hospital of Cologne in Germany, the University of Portsmouth in the UK reviewed 12 studies and found that yoga can improve lower-back pain.
The review concluded there is significant evidence yoga can relieve pain associated with chronic lower back pain. This was more clear in the case of people who did no exercise for their back.
The people who already engaged in a form of exercise did not register the same results.
People experiencing lower back pain should stay as mobile as possible and yoga could be one of the exercises that can help relieve pain.
