This city bus in Taiwan reconnects commuters to nature

A Taiwanese city bus has recently been transformed into a forest wonderland, reconnecting commuters to nature.

Florist Alfie Lin and designer Xiao Qing-Yang designed the world’s first “Forest Bus,” a city bus in Taiwanese capital Taipei, on route 203, that they transformed through a travelling art installation into a breath of fresh air for the commuters.

The art installation featured Taiwanese tropical plants, such as ferns, orchids and air plants, while artificial turf covered the walkway and the seats.

Unfortunately, the project was only temporary, as it was launched on June 24 and lasted for five days. Nevertheless, commuters were extremely enthusiastic about it and showed their support for turning it into a permanent feature of Taipei.
