Melania Trump wears Dolce & Gabbana jacket worth a year’s income
First Lady of the United States Melania Trump wore a $51,500 Dolce & Gabbana floral jacket while in Sicily at the G7 summit, drawing criticism as the price of the jacket was compared to an entire year’s salary for many jobs in the US.
The median American family income in 2015, according to government statistics, was $55,775.
Some people even said this is the cost of a house in certain areas of the country.

It is not clear yet whether the First Lady paid for the jacket herself, although it was reported earlier this year that Melania Trump buys her own outfits and does not accept loaned outfits in exchange for promoting designers.
