These are Anthony Bourdain’s least favourite food trends
Anthony Bourdain, a veteran chef author and TV host, reveals his least favourite food trends.
According to The Independent, Anthony Bourdain believes that “the very epicentre of douchedom is the kobe slider”. He added that if one sees this dish on the menu, he should immediately leave, as “no good will come of this, it will just be a sea of high-fiving hedge funders and people you do not want anywhere near you.”
Anthony Bourdain continued to express his opinion on popular trends, such as brunch and cronuts. He considers brunch nothing but a “horrible, cynical way of unloading leftovers and charging three times as much as you ordinarily charge for breakfast.”
Nevertheless, he admitted he is a fan of the cronut – a croissant-doughnut hybrid. “I’m all for pastry mashups. I don’t eat a lot of pastry but those Cronuts are damn good,” Anthony Bourdain concluded.
