The second was for the eponymous Forrest Gump, a film about a man with a low IQ who still went on to achieve a fascinating life. Since then, he has starred in several Best Picture nominees, including Saving Private Ryan and Captain Phillips.

Besides acting, Hanks has served as the producer of films like Cast Away. He has also lent his voice to the role of Woody, the cowboy toy from the Toy Story film series. Tom Hanks really has had a remarkable career in the entertainment industry, and he continues to entertain audiences everywhere.
