Why paying full price the the stores when you don’t have to.

Wanting to be the biggest bang for your buck, may be easier than you think. Couponing is one of the best tools one can use to save money. I know you may think couponing is just for your grandparents, but a lot of people use them. According to creditdonkey.com, “Young adults in the 18 to 34 range tend to get a bad rap when it comes to their spending habits, but they’re actually more saving-savvy than they get credit for. Just over 90% say they use coupons to plan their shopping list. And more than 50% said they are increasing their coupon usage, which significantly outpaces any other age group.”  In 2015, “321.3 billion manufacturer-funded coupons were distributed.” This is a lot of free money that can be used for your household.

Even though getting the coupons together is time consuming it’s worth the savings. People who coupon takes a few hours out of the week, to get all the coupons that they need to get the most savings. Some extreme couponers look at it as a full time and part time job.  As a beginner here are some steps to start your couponing journey. First Gathering, collect as many coupons as you can. You can ask friends and family to help as well. Secondly, sort all of your coupons out.   Get a binder of a little box to put all the coupons in. Then sort them by the expiration dates, so you know how much time you have to use the coupons. Then make sure you know the store policy on how they handle coupons because it may variety. Check the weekly deals in the stores you go to. Lastly make sure you have the space to put all of your items.
