Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota, 28, and his brother Andre, a Peafiel player, died early this morning in a traffic accident near Palacios de Sanabria, Zamora. The crash occurred at kilometer 65 of the A-52 highway.
Andre Silva, 25, a Penafiel player in the Portuguese 2nd League, also perished in the accident.

Emergency services, including the Guardia Civil, Zamora provincial firefighters, and a Mobile Emergency Unit, responded to the scene.
“A vehicle left the road and everything indicates a tyre burst while overtaking,” the Guardia Civil in Zamora told Sky Sports News in a statement.
